This ambitious visionary was Capt. Dr. A.K. Cherian the founder of this hospital whose dream was to provide quality health care to the un-reached.5 decades later Malakkara hospital is still keeping its dignity and reputation, due to its contribution in health care for the people of Central Travancore.The hospital has grown to a 150-bed well-equiped  multi-speciality hospital.   This hospital has created a very good impression among the people of Central Travancore for the stepwise development it has achieved.
