In the footprints of history “Aranmula Panchayath” is enshrined as the Holy Land and it is in this village where Malakkara is situated - a village on the banks of the river Pampa. And in this village 54 years ago a great man with a great vision to serve the needy started the hospital known as St. Thomas Hospital popularly called Malakkara Hospital by the villagers.

Free Clinic including free medicines and Lab Investigations are provided to the poor and needy in a colony were medical facilities are scare and needy on all Thursday from 2pm-5.30p.m. A team of doctors lead by Dr Rajamma Cherian (General Practitioner) and Dr Ann Saleena (E.N.T Surgeon) lends their valuable services to the people.
